LINC02596 is long non-protein coding RNA located at chromosome position 1p36.12.
LOC105376834 may regulate the expression of ALPL by a cis-effect. ALPL is an osteoblast marker and is reported to be closely associated with the development of osteoporosis. Downregulated ALPL can reflect decreased activity of osteoblasts, bone formation and extracellular matrix mineralization. As ALPL is a nearby co-expressed DEmRNA of LOC105376834, it was hypothesized that LOC105376834 may be involved in PMOP by cis-regulating the expression of ALPL and the pathway of osteoclast differentiation. 
This lncRNA was downregulated in PMOP. 
LOC105376834 is coexpressed with nearby ALPL.
