Function

LINC00672 can influence LASP1 expression as a locus-restricted cofactor for p53-mediated gene suppression, thus impacting endometrial carcinoma malignancies and chemosensitivity to paclitaxel [1]. It is found that LINC00672 is a p53-targeting lincRNA and it acts along with hnRNPs as a suppressive cofactor to reinforce p53-mediated suppression of LASP1. Overexpression of LINC00672 could lower the levels of LASP1 and slow the development of malignant phenotypes of endometrial carcinoma both in vitro and in vivo [1].
