JADRR is a key functional link that connects the DDR to histone H4 acetylation and play a potential role in breast tumorigenesis.

Annotated Information

Name

JADRR: JADE1 adjacent regulatory RNA (HGNC nomenclature)

INXS:lncRNA-JADE [1]

Characteristics

LncRNA-JADE,an independent transcript which contains no overlapping sequence with the transcripts from its neighbouring genes, is transcribed in the opposite orientation to the Jade1 gene, while its human homologue has the same orientation as Jade1.LncRNA-JADE and Jade1 genes have distinct promoters at the chromosomal region 3qB in mouse[1].

Function

LncRNA-JADE functions as an important link that connects the DNA damage signalling to the Jade1-mediated H4 acetylation[1].

LncRNA-JADE may supress the DNA damage-induced apoptosis and decrease the sensitizition of cells to DNA damaging agents[1].

LncRNA-JADE promotes cell proliferation, inhibits DNA damage checkpoints, and reduces the cellular sensitivity to DNA damaging drugs, suggesting that lncRNA-JADE possibly has the proto-oncogene properties[1].

Regulation

The transactivation of lncRNA-JADE is regulated by the ATM-NF-κB signalling in the DDR [1]

Diseases

  • Breast cancer[1]

Expression

lncRNA-JADE showed very low or undetectable expression levels in all of normal breast tissues. However, breast tumours exhibited overexpressed lncRNA-JADE, some tumour samples even had high or very high levels of lncRNA-JADE[1].

The RT–PCR primers are shown below:

Note: For each edit version that is contributed by a specific person, his/her contribution is quantified as its edit quality multiplied by its edit quantity; the edit quantity amounts to the edit distance in comparsion with its previous version (that is, the minimum number of edit operations required to transform one string into the other), and the edit quality corresponds to whether the edit persists in comparison with the last version, ranging from -1, when the edit is entirely reverted (short-lived), to 1, indicating that the edit is totally preserved in the last version (long-lived). Please also note that contribution quantification may take time to reflect recent edits.
*Since one person may perform many discontinuous edits for a wiki page, contribution score is the sum of quantified contributions over all participated edits.
#Multiple successive edits provided by a researcher are counted as one edit.
ΛSummed edit quantity is the sum of edit quantities over all participated edits.
Averaged edit quality is the edit quality normalized over all participated edits.
