CTBP1-AS promotes both hormone-dependent and castration-resistant tumour growth.[1]

CTBP1-AS also exhibits global androgen-dependent functions by inhibiting tumour-suppressor genes via the PSF-dependent mechanism thus promoting cell cycle progression.[1]
